Postboi pricing, in plain figures. Email is free up to 3,000 a month with no card, and £9 a month after that. Past a paid plan's included volume you pay per thousand rather than being cut off. Prices are in pounds sterling.

Every plan sends from the shared send.postboi.email address with no DNS at all,
and from your own domain once you add its records. Free has no card and no bill: it stops
at its limits rather than charging for them.

A meter, not a wall
Going over
On a paid plan, running past the included volume bills the overage at the plan's rate per thousand instead of refusing the send, so a busy month never drops a password reset. When the overage outgrows the next plan up, the next plan is the cheaper one; the table above already says where that happens.
- Free is 3,000 a month and 100 a day. Past either, sends are refused until the day or month resets.
- Without a verified domain, any plan sends up to 100 a day. Verify one to send the plan's full volume.
- A new account's first 7 days are capped at 1,000 emails a day on every plan, so a stolen card can't borrow our reputation. After that the plan's volume is yours.

Nothing below is a paid extra. Free gets all of it.
- Sending from the SDK (
mail()), the REST API or the dashboard's composer, with scheduling, attachments and batch sends. - Receiving replies and inbound mail, forwarded or read in the dashboard.
- Lists and broadcasts, with contacts, double opt-in and one-click unsubscribe. No per-contact charge, ever.
- Delivery tracking: a searchable message log, bounces, complaints, suppressions, opens and clicks, and webhooks.
- Templates and your brand: a block editor, your colours and faces, and a letterhead on every message.
- Hosted forms: an HTML
<form>becomes an email with no backend. - A team, with members and scoped access.

Email tests
A test report (headers, SPF, DKIM and DMARC, spam score, which clients support your HTML, links and images) is unlimited on every plan. Screenshots in real email clients cost us money per render, so those are the one metered part: a test is a screenshot in each of the recommended clients. Free gets 1 email test on us, and paid plans include the number in the table above, every month.

The plans above price email. SMS, WhatsApp, push and chat run on a provider of your own and are billed by that provider at cost: Postboi adds nothing on top. Web Push, Slack, Discord, Teams and Telegram have no per-message cost in the first place. If you'd rather send email through a provider you already pay for, the SDK does that too, and Postboi doesn't bill for it.

- No.
npx postboi initgives you a workingmail()on Free. A card is only asked for when you choose a paid plan. - Do I need to set up DNS?
- Not to start: every account can send from
send.postboi.emailthe moment it exists. Your own domain is a few records, and the dashboard checks them for you. - What does 100,000 emails a month cost?
- £25, on Pro. A million is £249 on Scale.
- Is there anything above Scale?
- Scale meters on without a ceiling. If you send enough that a flat rate would suit you better, write to support@postboi.app.
- Can I change plan or cancel?
- Whenever you like, from the dashboard's billing page. Stripe handles the card.
